Quintus Smyrnaeus
300–400
Quintus Smyrnaeus, or Quintus of Smyrna, was a Greek epic poet known only through his surviving work, the Posthomerica, a continuation of Homer's Iliad recounting the Trojan War between the death of Hector and the fall of Troy. Almost nothing is known of his life beyond his name and an apparent connection to Smyrna in Asia Minor; his dates are uncertain, but most scholars place him in the fourth century AD.
